SensorWorX Gateway MSR

The SensorWorX Gateway MSR is a LINUX-based multi-services router and is a key element of our SensorWorX architecture. The MSR design is comprised of layer-7 multi-protocol wireless Network Aggregators and Application Services that form the backbone of the company's enterprise infrastructure. Extensive use of embedded database, XML protocols, and Web Services are employed to facilitate the integration of wireless sensors and industrial process control systems with IT networks.

Network Gateways

SkyRamp Internet Gateways help you keep process measurement data up to date and process monitoring costs low. SkyRamp gateways consolidate local radio transmissions from SkyBeam, DART, or BattGuard radio transmitters, and route them in real-time to your sensor database. There you can view on-line sensor data at anytime from anywhere via the Worldwide Web. SkyRamp supports Internet connections and industry-standard TCP/IP routing using an Ethernet LAN, telephone line PPP dial-up, or wireless WAN connections to popular packet-switching networks.

SkyRamp is built on industry hardware and software and protocol standards, and is fully-compatible with our complete family of wireless Internet solutions.

SensorWorX Application Appliances

SkyHopper Repeaters

With SkyHopper radio repeaters you can expand the reach of your wireless network to campus-wide environments. The rugged SkyHopper series is designed specifically to extend the wireless savings to multi-process, multi-building industrial processes like yours.

Rooftop connections are made using standard AC Power. A built-in RF spread spectrum radio transceiver reliably captures process measurements from SkyBeam transmitters in range and relays them across campus.

SkyHopper is fully-compatible with our complete family of wireless Internet solutions. Data transmissions from a virtually unlimited number of SkyBeam devices are received, stored, and forwarded by our SkyRamp Internet gateway and SkyCenter data center to the Internet destination of your choice.

Application Specific Wireless Sensors

Integrated Level Sensors

Achieve unprecedented efficiency in Tank Inventory Management. Our Wireless Tank Inventory Management System gives suppliers and their customers maximum control over distribution, collection and overall vessel management for a variety of industries including chemical, petroleum, agriculture, utilities, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, and water and wastewater treatment.

Each Integrated Level Sensor accurately measures tank levels and transmits this data to a local SkyRamp Gateway using robust Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) wireless technology. Originally developed for military applications, DSSS provides industrial hardened wireless communications in even the harshest environments. Coupled with our web-based Tank Management software application and SkyCenter Data Services, this end-to-end solution removes the guesswork out of managing inventories, and empowers decision-makers at all levels within an organization with real-time level information from geographically distributed facilities.

Our advanced sensor technology enables accurate measurement of tank levels in most any type of vessel, and provides simple installation, minimal maintenance and low power consumption. Common features include:

  • FCC license-free RF communications
  • Intrinsically Safe - Class I, Div I, Group D
  • NEMA 4/IP-65 environmentally sealed enclosure
  • Long-life lithium battery

Our Integrated Level Sensors are available in a variety of configurations to meet your company's specific level monitoring requirements.

  • Wireless Ultrasonic
  • Wireless Pressure Sensor
  • Wireless MIR Sensor
  • Wireless Capacitance
  • Wireless Float Sensor
  • Wireless Gauge Sensor

SkyBeam

With SkyBeam radio transmitters you can avoid the high costs of monitoring remote tanks, sensors and equipment by eliminating power and data cabling. The rugged SkyBeam series is designed specifically to monitor demanding industrial processes like yours. Simple, local connections are made using the industry standard 4-20 mA or DIO connections from your existing instrumentation. A built-in RF spread spectrum radio transmitter reliably reports any measurement at any time based on your unique application needs. SkyBeam operates on long-life batteries that only need replacment every three to five years.

SkyBeam is fully-compatible with our complete family of wireless Internet solutions. Data transmissions from a virtually unlimited number of SkyBeam devices are received, stored, and forwarded by our SkyRamp Internet gateway and SkyCenter data center to the Internet destination of your choice.

BattGuard

Technology solutions have dramatically shaped the modern business world. However, the reliance on electronic technologies today demands a continuous and reliable source of power to maintain proper operations. As a result, many industries, including utilities, cellular, commercial buildings and others, rely on UPS battery systems to maintain 7x24x365 power.

Our BattGuard Wireless Monitoring System continuously monitors the health of the individual batteries used in UPS systems to assure that they will function properly when called upon in emergency situations. Unlike planned maintenance programs wherein manual measurements of battery health are made between regular but long intervals, BattGuard continuously monitors the health of individual battery performance and identifies emerging problems before they threaten overall performance of the UPS system. Personnel may be dispatched for on-site maintenance only when needed, with the BattGuard system directing them to the specific battery cells requiring attention. This significantly reduces maintenance costs by eliminating wasted time in performing costly manual checks on properly functioning cells. BattGuard is the only UPS monitoring system to provide the installation convenience and cost-savings of wireless networking.

SkyBeam TTX

Maintaining strict temperature tolerances for physical assets, environments and processes is a fundamental requirement of a wide range of applications. Deviation from a prescribed temperature range can result in downtime, equipment failure, regulatory non-compliance, and loss of product. With the SkyBeam TTX you can avoid such catastrophes because you are now able to have instant 24/7/365 access to information about the status and health of your environmental systems.

The SkyBeam TTX is a miniature, battery-powered wireless radio transmitter with a range up to 1 mile that presents a highly effective solution for the monitoring, recording, analyzing and alarming of a wide range of distributed temperature applications. Coverage range can be extended even further through the use of SkyHopper Radio Repeaters, allowing for centralized monitoring of widely distributed sensor points across campus environments. SkyBeam TTX is self-sufficient, and reduces the cost of monitoring distributed sensing points by eliminating the need for power and data cabling. The integral spread spectrum radio provides reach to remote or difficult-to-access locations, and reliably reports temperature measurements at user configurable intervals over a secure, unlicensed radio frequency.

Data collected by the SkyBeam TTX is wirelessly transmitted to a SkyRamp Gateway. Once transferred to the SkyRamp, the data is processed and routed to the SkyCenter datacenter through the Internet, using industry standard IT protocols. Here, data is further processed, permanently stored, and made available for display via SkyView, a browser-based analysis and reporting application.

In the event environmental conditions exceed established thresholds, the SkyCenter automatically sends an email notification to subscribed users' desktop(s) and/or mobile device(s). The alert notification contains site identification, device identification, time of the event, trigger condition and current status enabling users to make to take immediate and effective action and informed emergency response decisions.
